April 27 --Today Gov. Wolf announced several activities which will be allowed starting this Friday, guided fishing trips included. As such I will again be taking on clients starting Saturday May 2, the walleye season opener. Understand that the state's life sustaining guidelines will be followed, and that all trips will meet at the launch ramp (no shuttles in my vehicle). I have lots of openings so get in touch to get on the books. Looking forward to see you all again!

RIVER TRIPS RUN IN A CUSTOM-BUILT RIVER ROCKET by ROCK PROOF BOATS
Throughout late all and early winter we've had good walleye action on both the free-flowing and impounded sections of the Allegheny River. Several incidental muskies as well. Other than a brief period of cold weather that put some ice in the river, it's been clear. If you're looking to do a late winter walleye outing before the season closes in mid-March, things are looking good!

A key focus of the Keystone Connection is jet-boat fishing adventures on portions of the middle Allegheny River. Skimming through shallow river sections, you’ll have access to miles of lightly-fished waters. Smallmouth bass are available from April to December. Typical whole-day trips on the middle Allegheny cover 12 to 15 miles of river.

NOTE: CATCH AND RELEASE FOR ALL BASS OUTINGS (and incidentally caught muskies).
All trips are subject to $75 deposit. Any trips cancelled by guests within one week of the scheduled trip will forfeit deposit. Any trips cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled trip will owe the balance of the outing.
If your interest leans toward learning bass-catching tactics on Western Pennsylvania’s hard-fished reservoirs, consider spending a day on Armstrong County’s Keystone Lake or Venango County’s Kahle Lake. Keystone’s clear water and deep weed growth provides a perfect venue for learning finesse presentations that take smallmouth and largemouth bass that see a lot of baits. Despite its small size, Kahle Lake harbors a fine largemouth fishery including five-pound plus fish. With extensive weed growth of several types, Kahle is a great place to practice a variety of tactics.
